Visa Information
All foreign visitors to the Republic of Korea must possess a valid passport. While many nationalities are
eligible for visa-free entry, others may require a Korean visa prior to arrival. Below are the member countries
whose citizens may temporarily enter without a visa according to visa exemption agreements, or in accordance
with principles of reciprocity and national interest.

K-ETA (Korea Electronic Travel Authorization)
Nationals of countries/regions eligible for visa-free entry still require K-ETA approval to board flights to Korea.
K-ETA approval must be applied for at least 72 hours before departure. You can apply for K-ETA on the official website or mobile app (K-ETA).

Invitation Letter
Authors of accepted papers can self-download the invitation letter from PaperPlaza, while registered and paid participants may receive it after their application has been reviewed.
For Attendees With Accepted Papers:
As an author or co-author, an official letter of acceptance confirming that your paper has been accepted and reaffirming the expectation that you will attend the Congress is available for download. This letter can be used for visa and travel support applications.The letter will be available for download on the IFAC PaperCept website after the review process has been completed.
For Attendees Without Accepted Papers:
Those who do not have an accepted paper for the Congress should contact the Registration Chair, Prof. Jinhwan Kim (registration@ifac2026.org), via email with the following information:- Title, given name, and surname
- Affiliation
- Official homepage (URL) of your affiliation
- Mailing address
- Passport number, date of issue, and place of issue
- Copy of registration receipt and passport
- All of the above information is required for the Organizing Committee to review your application for the invitation letter.
- For all other cases, please consult your local embassy or Korean consulate office for information on the requirements for issuing your visa.
